Terms of Use

These terms apply to TextExhibits, operated by Amara Digital Ventures LLC ("we"). Contact: [email protected]. By using the site you agree to them.

1. Not legal advice; no law firm

TextExhibits is software that formats message exports into PDF documents. We are not a law firm, do not give legal advice, and using the site does not create an attorney–client relationship. Our guides are general information, may not apply to your court or jurisdiction, and may be out of date. Whether any document is admissible, sufficient or properly authenticated is decided by the court under its own rules. Talk to a lawyer or your court’s self-help center about your case.

2. What the software does and does not do

  • The PDF reproduces the content of the export file you provide, after the filters and redactions you choose. We cannot verify that an export is complete, genuine or unaltered, and the PDF is not a forensic examination of a phone.
  • The SHA-256 value identifies the exact file you opened. It shows whether a file is identical to that one; it does not prove who wrote the messages or that the export is complete.
  • Automatic redaction looks for common phone-number and email formats and can miss some or redact other numbers. Review every page before you file or share it.
  • Timestamps are shown as recorded in the export. WhatsApp exports carry no time zone; you are responsible for declaring the correct one.

3. Your responsibilities

You confirm that you have the right to use the messages you process and that your use complies with the law, including privacy, recording and court rules (for example rules on redacting personal information in filings). Do not use the service to harass anyone or to create misleading documents.

4. Payments, merchant of record and taxes

TextExhibits is provided by Amara Digital Ventures LLC, 1209 Mountain Road Pl NE, Ste N, Albuquerque, NM 87110, USA ("we", "us"). We are responsible for the service itself: how it works, its content, and product support.

Payments are handled by Sold through Link, LLC, an affiliate of Stripe ("Link"). Link is the merchant of record for your purchase. At checkout you will see "Sold through Link", and your card or bank statement will show "LINK.COM*" followed by our name. Your payment to Link counts as payment to us. When you buy, you also agree to the Sold through Link Terms, which govern the payment, receipts, payment support and Link's refund process.

Prices. A single PDF costs US$9. A 30-day pass costs US$19. The pass is a one-time payment. It does not renew automatically and is not a subscription. Prices may be shown in your local currency, and the amount shown at checkout is what you pay. Prices include any sales tax, VAT or GST that applies.

Taxes, receipts and invoices. Link calculates, collects and pays sales tax, VAT and GST where it is responsible for doing so. Link emails your receipt and, where required, a tax invoice. We do not send separate receipts.

Where you can buy. You can only buy from countries where Stripe's checkout is available for our products. If checkout is not offered in your country, you cannot buy; the free preview is available to everyone. A payment made from a country where purchases are not available does not unlock the full PDF and is refunded in full.

5. Unlocks and restores

A one-PDF purchase unlocks downloads of PDFs made from one source file (identified by its SHA-256 hash) for 24 hours from purchase. A 30-day pass unlocks unlimited files for 30 days from purchase. Both unlock the browser you paid in. You can restore a purchase in up to 3 other browsers with your checkout email and the receipt or invoice number from your Link receipt, or with the restore link; after that, email us. Purchases are for your own use and may not be shared or resold. A refunded or disputed purchase can no longer be restored.

6. Refunds

You can try TextExhibits for free with the preview before you pay. You should still have a fair refund if something goes wrong.

  • Something went wrong. If you were charged but did not get your PDF or pass, the result was corrupted or substantially not as described, or you were charged twice or without permission, email us at [email protected] within 60 days. You can also ask Link directly at support.link.com. Refunds go back to the original payment method.
  • EU and UK consumers: 14-day cancellation. If you are a consumer in the EU or UK, you can cancel your purchase within 14 days from the date you get access and receive a refund. To do this, contact Link Customer Support, choose the refund option, and give "cooling off period" as the reason. You can also email us at [email protected].
  • Other cases. We will look at any other request in good faith.
  • Link's policy. Link's refund policy also applies. If it gives you more than this section does, Link's policy applies. Nothing here limits your rights under the law where you live.

7. Chargebacks and disputes

If there is a problem with a charge, please contact us at [email protected] or Link support first, because we can usually fix it faster than a bank dispute. Link and Stripe handle card disputes and chargebacks for purchases sold through Link, and we may give them information about your purchase and use of the service so they can resolve the dispute.

8. Availability and changes

We provide the site "as is" and may change or discontinue features. We may update these terms; the date above shows the latest version.

9. Disclaimer of warranties and limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the service is provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including the outcome of any legal proceeding, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

10. Trademarks

WhatsApp is a trademark of WhatsApp LLC. iPhone and iMessage are trademarks of Apple Inc. Android is a trademark of Google LLC. SMS Backup & Restore is a product of SyncTech Pty Ltd. TextExhibits is not affiliated with or endorsed by any of them.
